Vintage, Distressed Mini Album Swap

Well, here it is, I have been waiting for this day! I joined the Vintage Distressed Mini Album Swap on the Cricut Message Board and was partnered up with another 'Gibbs' girl PaulaC. She let me know when she mailed my album and I have been waiting impatiently.

When I got home from work today, I found this lovely album waiting for me.

My pictures do not do it justice.

The white flowers are sparkly, and I LOVE the bird.

Two cute little dangly charms.

Lots of hand work to cut out all the flowers. Glittery accents on the flower centers, which you can't see.

A cute little epoxy butterfly detail-

Notice the butterfly and lace, it's magnetized and wraps around the page to another magnet that holds on the two journaling cards.

See, there it is again, cute little butterfly.

Notice how she used different shapes for the pages? It really adds character. I was rather surprised, too, but I never realized how much I like pussy willows, definitely a childhood memory.

A cute little book to put pictures or journaling in, it tucks under the lace which has pretty butterfly brad accents.

Another beautiful birdy.

Three tags attached with a cool chain to the center D ring. Stick pins that say 'family' and 'heritage' in the lace.

More pussy willows, and another stick pin that says 'always'.

Poppy's and cute little bees.

I love my album and am so glad I joined this swap it has be quite a leaning experience for me and although when I post the album I made for Paula you will see some similarities, (hint, hint) they are really so totally different I think you will be surprised, too. I hope she likes her album as much as I like mine.

Coffee Colar Mini Album

Once again I am drawing on my work from the Gibbs 2 swap. The day 7 challenge was a coffee collar album. I found this Mocha Gourmet cookie mix an thought it would go well with the coffee themed album I chose to create. My partner knowing I didn't drink coffee made me a beautiful album and put different teas in it. Here is a link so you can check it out. http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=5280360&mpage=849&key= Go to post 16975 for the coffee collar album, each of those folders of tea was in a pocket. Take a minute and check out all the other beautiful creations she made for me and also what the other crafters created. Everybody interpreted the challenge a bit different I choose to do a coffee themed little book. I thought the different collars were interesting and choose to leave the advertising art visible.
I included coffee trivia, history and recipes as well as a coffee sample that came in the mail...

I Gibbs 1 (I wasn't in that round) they were challenged to make a toilet paper roll album. What interesting thing can you think of to alter?
