Scapbook Pages for Willie

Since I now have a cute little dog, I decided I should join a swap for dog scrapbook pages. There were 5 groups and I joined all 5! 2 'everyday' groups a 'boy' group a 'girl' group and a 'holiday' group. Total 52 layouts!

This page is in honor of the neighborhood telegraph. Willie seldom barks in the house but once he is outside he really lets loose. "Bark, bark!" and his buddies bark back.

Willie loves to go on walks with 'Daddy.' I submitted this for the 'boy' group. Fuzzy picture, sorry.

Some of the ladies in the swap were talking about Birthday parties for their dogs so I thought I would do a Birthday page.

Here's the page I made for St. Patricks Day I kind of made it neutral just in case someone didn't have St. Patricks Day pictures of their dog.

And last a girly page....
I got these matching papers and stamps from the Imaginise boothe at the fall Scrapbook Expo.

Paint Can Swap

Lisa got her can so it is finally safe to post pictures of the can I did for her.

I included a nice big washer so she could get it open!

She loves purple and butterflies, think she'll like her can?

Hard to tell but I stickled over the paper pattern and added some bling!

Added some ribbon on top of the goodies that fit inside the can, kind of like Easter grass, lol.

And here it is the Boys will be boys mini-

Notice I bound it with my Bind it all.

Loved this paper and since Lisa has twin boys I thought it was a good time to use it! It is a K & Company pad.

I cut the cars from one of the pages to tie it all together.

Almost can't see the little yellow car on this page its all so bright!

The tags.

I wove this little accent to match the background paper.

The vapor trail is a little scrap from my scrap box that has a glittery line on it, looks much better in person.

The very back is the car paper that is on the front, don't know why I didn't take a picture-

Another mini album I made for her. It is made from smashed toilet paper rolls, I covered and then bound with my Bind it all, The T.P. rolls form little pockets for the tags.

More Making Memories butterfly lace and a little heart that says 'love' I added a bit of bling to.

I used a Die Cuts with a View mat stack to cover it and a Making Memories cardstock mat stack for the tags.

Punches from punch swap to decorate the pages, varies punches on the corners.

..and a bit of glitter glue and there you have it.

A cute little pad I made at a Cinch demo, I think I'll stick with my Bind it all.

Some how I missed taking a picture of a cute set of thank you cards I sent also......

A few odds and ends to fill the can,

Butterfly treasures-

Paint Can Swap

The Gibbs Swap this round was a paint can swap, my first. My partner was Lisa and here is the beautiful can that she sent. I really need to learn how she did the flowers.

Here is the top another beautiful fabric flower.

And being a Gibbs swap we had the requirement to make some of the treasures and she made me this great set of cards.

And this cute post it note holder that has already found a home on my computer desk where I am always looking for a piece of paper to jot down a note.

She also set the altered jar full of doggy treats for our little dog Willie. My husband thought they looked and smelled good enough he might give them a try! (Lisa, what kind are they? Willie LOVES them.)

.....AND she made this oh so cute paper bag album for us to put our little guys' picture in. (Lisa, my husbands' face was priceless when he saw this, I think his eyes even misted up, he has such a tender heart!)

Willie is a dachshund, in case you couldn't guess, and this page is great because, although, he hardly barks at all in the house, when he goes outside in the back yard he barks up a storm, and I find it really endearing, kind of like "101 Dalmatians" and the neighborhood telegraph.

It is full of great dog quotes.

I think using the bones for pulls on the tags is really cute!

Notice the collar at the top? This will be a great page to tell how weird Willie gets when you take off his collar, for some reason he goes crazy, nudging at your hand until you put it back on, and then he's happy.

Here's the really great can contents, she sent me 2 cuttlebug folders one that matches one she used on the cards, alcohol inks which I have been itching to get my hand on, and and applicator. Also, stickles, a girl can always use more bling, ribbon embellies, brads and colored safety pins.
Lisa, I want to say thank you!! I really love my can.

My Vintage Mini made with love for Paula.

Okay here it is my first attempt at a vintage album, I do kinda think it looks the part (old and distressed) but I don't think it looks a lot like the other albums coming out of this swap......

Little key looks like it fits the keyhole but they are from different companies.

The vellum pocket, holds 2 tags, it is decorated with hand tatted lace I got at a yard sale, the ric rack is vintage too.

The tag at the front is a reproduction of a birthday card.

Another vellum envelope to hold the tags and a silver heart dangle that says 'love'.

The words that look had written throughout the album are rub-ons.

I thought I was pretty original putting in a little book and Paula made me one too! We also used the same stick pins! Surprise!

The little pictures are from a sheet of K @ Co. paper Life's Journey Stamp Collage embossed paper.

I bought a package of vintage embellishments and that is what the postcard was in.

A bit more vintage lace and butterfly trim, along with brass brads.

The pocket is formed with two metal corners, I inked the bright green to make it blend with the feel of the album.

Well, I might have to try it again someday I am not sure I have this vintage distressed thing down, but I was made with love!

Feel free to ask any questions. and make comments.
